In their article “"Integrating Refugees in The United States: The Successes and Challenges of Resettlement in A Global Context." (2015), the authors provide in depth information on the “administrative and survey data on U.S. refugees in rich detail,” along with some “data for refugees in Canada, Norway and Sweden” (2015). The authors continue with through the essay with statics on the refugees coming into the US and the demography. The purpose of the authors in this article is simply to inform the readers about the issue, which can be determined through their professional and formal tone. Their professional tone also indicates that their intended audience was their colleagues or educated readers. Furthermore, since it was published in a Statistical journal, it also implies an educated audience looking for information based on facts and hard evidence.
